🚀 Manuel Mühl, a fund manager at DWS Group, has launched a metaverse fund, investing in around 200 companies. He sees the Metaverse as a space with “enormous acceleration potential” 📈.
Three key growth areas have been identified:
1️⃣ Computing Power: The Metaverse requires massive computing power, opening opportunities for companies providing the necessary tech infrastructure 💻.
2️⃣ Digital Content: Shared experiences in sports, music, and industrial processes are emerging in the Metaverse, paving the way for innovative applications 🎮🎵.
3️⃣ Assets and Services: Digital payment options are crucial in the Metaverse, creating a new market for payment providers, including cryptocurrencies and digital lending 💰.
The Metaverse also presents a new platform for advertising, with precise measurement of marketing campaigns 🎯. However, data ownership and user protection are key concerns that need to be addressed with a clear regulatory framework 🛡️.
The Metaverse is expected to mature significantly over the next decade, with interconnected sub-worlds 🌐. Despite its importance, a KPMG study (https://lnkd.in/dRaNPgjH) reveals that most companies have yet to invest in this area 📊.
